WHY BAMBOO?

Bamboo is one of the most renewable resources on our planet.

Bamboo fabric is a superpower

Its hypoallergenic, resists bacteria and odors, has a silky cashmere softness, and is temperature regulating.

We’ve chosen to create our luxury line of Sheets and Duvets using only 100% organically grown bamboo. This allows for the smoothest, silkiest and most breathable fabric, and is considered our ‘superior’ line. The melange line consists of a blend of bamboo and cotton threads, so you do have options if you want a blend. But the 100% bamboo line will give you the most cooling effect. They're also more resistant to bacteria and odors, and more comforting against sensitive skin.

Bamboo is 3 times more absorbent than cotton, so any perspiration will be wicked and evaporated away. Hot irritated skin will be very comforted, because bamboo is a cooling fabric. Bamboo Sheets can help alleviate eczema and psoriasis conditions because bamboo is hypoallergenic and soothing.

The micro-gaps and holes in the fiber release heat, allowing irritated skin to stay cooler.  Moisture and perspiration can cause flare ups, so staying dry is very important.

The cooling effect of bamboo is simply indescribable. When you start to get warm; just move an arm or leg to a new spot and its like fabric air-conditioning! As well, bamboo fibers are naturally resistant to bacteria and mildew. These are common allergens that can trigger flare ups.

Bamboo is grown without the need for pesticides and fertilizers. No formaldehyde coating is used either, this is what the cotton industry does to make their linens wrinkle-resistant. Rest easier knowing you're sleeping on eco-friendly fabrics without added toxic coatings.  The tight twill weave guarantees against pilling, so there's no pills or bumps that can irritate sensitive skin.

Bamboo fibers are hypoallergenic, so they're a non-irritant to sensitive skin. Under a microscope you'd see the huge difference between a cotton fiber vs a bamboo fiber. The cotton fiber would look like a scratchy hemp rope, and a bamboo fiber would look smooth, round and tubular. This means bamboo sheets won't snag on sensitive skin, a big plus when skin conditions are flaring up.

For may reasons; Bamboo Sheets will help alleviate eczema or psoriasis issues!

One of the natural benefits of Bamboo bedding is that bamboo fibers resist bacteria and odors, so your bedding stays fresh longer than cotton. Bamboo fibers have an inherent property called 'bamboo kun' which means naturally pest repellent. This means that odor-causing bacteria doesn't grow on bamboo fibers.  Rest assured that if you can't change your sheets as often as you'd like, its ok. Your bamboo bedding stays fresh longer, and won't get the funky smell that cotton sheets will. So save some time and sleep on bamboo instead of cotton! So the answer to the question of Does Bamboo Bedding Stay Fresh Longer, is YES!

Machine-washable, bamboo bedding is an easy-care fabric as well. Simply wash in warm water with an eco-friendly liquid detergent, then dry on medium. We don't recommend any washer or dryer balls, fabric softeners or dryer sheets, as those items coat the linens and can cause discoloration. If you develop any body oil stains you may use something like Dawn dishwashing liquid, dab on the spot directly, add a little water, rub the fabric together, then launder.  You may also use a little spot remover, or whatever your favorite stain remover is. We just don’t recommend bleach.

You can also gain the beauty secret to great hair and skin by upgrading your sheets to Bamboo! Bamboo fibers are hypoallergenic and super silky-soft against your skin. Bamboo Pillowcases are better for hair and skin because the fibers are woven so round and smooth. They won't tug or pull at your hair or skin while sleeping.

For those that get hot and perspire when sleeping, you'll be comforted by bamboo as its a cooling fabric. Flipping your pillow over to find a cool spot does not happen with bamboo. Bamboo also wicks and absorbs moisture faster than cotton, so you won't wake with a wet pillow.  Bacteria doesn't flourish on bamboo, so people prone to acne or skin conditions will be comforted with bamboo.

Impress your house guests by putting bamboo bed sheets on their bed, they're dreamily soft, feel exquisite against the skin, and they’ll sleep better on bamboo sheets. As much as you love them on your bed; your guests will sleep cooler and more rested, too. They'll feel so pampered when they slip into the silky-softness of bamboo. Expect inquiries as to what fabric they were sleeping on. They'll want to purchase some bamboo sheets of their own!

Your body needs to rest, detox, de-stress and rejuvenate while you sleep. Getting a good 7-8 hours of sound sleep per night is critical for healing and optimally functioning throughout the day.  A bad night's sleep often means you can't wait to go back to bed and recover with a good night's sleep. Numerous good things when you sleep, and one is that your metabolism resets. Inflammation is reduced, your memory is improved, you can more easily lose weight. They are so much softer than cotton, there's simply no comparison. For years our customers have told us that once they sleep on bamboo, they never go back to cotton. We're told they've chosen to donate or give away all of their cotton sheets, never to look back! If you have eco-conscious loved ones, they'll appreciated that we use only organically grown bamboo for our scrumptiously soft linens. The bamboo is farmed, not cut from natural forests, so its panda-friendly. Bamboo Sheets make excellent gifts.

Gifting an eco-friendly alternative to cotton sheets is a thoughtful gift, as cotton uses a tremendous amount of highly toxic chemicals during the growing process. The amount of cotton used in a man’s T-shirt is up to 2 pounds of chemicals. Yet bamboo is grown organically with no need for fertilizers or pesticides. The reason for this is due to an inherent element called Bamboo Kun which means: naturally pest repellent. This quality seems to transfer to the fibers as the linens are resistant to mildew, odors and bacteria. Bamboo fibers are also indescribably soft to the touch, cooling to sleep on, and hypoallergenic.  Bamboo Sheets make excellent gifts, so why not enjoy giving the gift of healthier sleep?
